The Rental Process Compared

When you want to rent a moving truck you can go into your local rental center or online and look for availability. Once you select the truck you want you need to travel to the location with another person so they can drive your vehicle back and in most cases you’ll start the process of waiting in line. Especially if you would like to pick up a truck on the weekend you can be waiting in line for a while.

Once you get to the counter you will have a mountain of paperwork to fill out and have to navigate a hard sell on some upgrades first before you get the keys. Once you have the keys you’ll need to inspect the truck for any damage before leaving.

Then you will need to load up, drive to your new location and then unload the truck. Most rentals are only for a day or two so you have to get this all done quickly, rain or shine. After the truck is empty again you have to make another trek back to the rental facility but not before stopping for gas and trying to remember just how much was in it so you aren’t overcharged for gas after drop off. Then it’s time to wait in line again until someone can inspect the truck and finalize your drop off.

In most cases an extra two to three hours is added to your total move time just with the rental process.

To rent a Big Sky Box you can go online to our website or call, text, or email us and we will ask you for some basic information like drop off address and where you will want the container placed. Then you choose the day and we secure your reservation. That process can take between 30 seconds to a minute.

Leading up to your reservation day you will have a lease agreement emailed over to you which needs to be filled out at least 24 hours before your appointment and that’s it. Now you get to sit back and relax and let us handle bringing the Big Sky Box to you.

The best part about our rental process is that there are no fees or even a need for a credit card to make a reservation. Payment is taken care of after your Big Sky Box has been dropped off.

The Loading and Unloading Process

Most moving trucks will sit high up off the ground so you will have to either lift boxes up into the truck or navigate a somewhat steep ramp to get your items on the truck.

This is mostly no issue for most boxes and dollies, but when it comes to large bulky items like appliances or heavy items it can become tricky and treacherous.

Our containers sit at ground level which means you will not have to navigate any ramps or life anything up just to get it into the container.

We also have large barn style doors that make loading up large heavy items easy. In most cases, we are able to place the container in your driveway with the doors facing the garage reducing the length of time it takes to fully load up your items.

The Driving and Transportation Process
