Portable Storage in Frenchtown

Portable Storage Around Frenchtown and the Highway 10 Corridor

Frenchtown sits about 15 miles west of Missoula along I-90, close enough that our trucks can usually get a container to you within a few days of booking. We deliver in town and out along the Highway 10 corridor toward Huson, including rural properties and acreages with long gravel driveways.

A lot of Frenchtown homes have shops, barns and outbuildings, and a lot of our Frenchtown rentals have nothing to do with moving. People use a container to clear out a garage before a remodel, store furniture while floors are replaced, or hold equipment while a new shop goes up. Because the container sits on your property, you can get to your things whenever you want without driving into Missoula to a storage unit.

If you are moving, the same container works for that too. Load it in Frenchtown at your own pace, and when you are ready we drive it full to your new address or bring it back to our yard until your new place is ready.

Portable Storage vs. a Shipping Container in Frenchtown

People who search for shipping containers in Frenchtown usually need one of two things: permanent storage on their land, or a place to put their belongings for a few weeks or months. For the first, buying a container can make sense. For the second, a rental built for household goods is the better fit.

Shipping containers are made to carry freight on ships. The steel floors and walls collect condensation when the temperature swings between day and night, and without vents that moisture ends up on furniture, mattresses and boxes. Most are 20 or 40 feet long, which takes a lot of yard and a large truck to set. If one needs to move later, you pay for that truck again, and when the project is over you still own it.

A Big Sky Box is 16 feet long and fits in a normal driveway. It has a wood floor, vents to control condensation, and E-track on the walls for strapping down loads. You rent it by the week or the month, we can move it while it is full, and we haul it away when you are done.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Frenchtown from your yard?

Frenchtown is about 15 miles west of our Missoula yard on I-90, so it is one of our shorter deliveries. Most Frenchtown drop-offs can be scheduled within a few days.

Can you deliver to a gravel driveway or rural lot?

Yes. We need a spot that is reasonably level and firm enough to hold the truck and container, with room for our truck to back in. Gravel works well. Soft grass or mud in spring can be a problem, so send us a photo if you are unsure.

Can you store my container at your yard instead of my property?

Yes. We can pick up the full container and keep it at our secure yard in Missoula. Give us 48 hours' notice when you want access to your things.

Can I use the container to move from Frenchtown to another town?

Yes. Load it in Frenchtown and we drive it to your new address anywhere in our service area, full, with everything still in place.
